28th Annual General Meeting Successfully Completed

CHILDREN-Nepal (CN) successfully held its 28th Annual General Meeting, under the leadership of its President, Mr. Shanta Paudel, marking another milestone in its continued commitment to child rights and community development. The meeting was honored by the presence of the Honorable Krishna Prasad Pathak, Health Minister of Gandaki Province, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, Minister Pathak commended CHILDREN-Nepal’s social work and expressed the government’s commitment to support and collaborate with CN and other non-governmental organizations across the province. During the meeting, General Secretary Mr. Jayendra Bhattarai presented a detailed progress report highlighting key achievements from the fiscal year 2080/81. Treasurer Mr. Kul Prasad Poudel followed with the financial report for the same year, along with the proposed budget and plan for fiscal year 2081/082. All reports and plans were unanimously approved by the General Assembly. On this special occasion, CHILDREN-Nepal honored Executive Director Mr. Dilly Prasad Sharma, Accounts Officer Mr. Hari Prasad Pokharel, and Office Assistant/Driver Mr. Santosh Nepali for their outstanding contributions to the organization. The participants included representatives from the National Human Rights Commission, civil society organizations and networks, the NGO Federation, the National Child Rights Council, government officials, school principals and teachers, social workers, child club representative, media personnel, and members of CHILDREN-Nepal. Attendees praised the organization’s ongoing dedication to social service and its continued support for children, women and their parents from disadvantaged and marginalized communities. Mr. Jayendra Bhattarai, General Secretary of Children-Nepal, served as the Master of Ceremony during the AGM, while Mr. Bijaya Kumar Karki, Vice President, warmly delivered the welcome address.
